You'll find the instruction page at: I want to thanks Andrews Fries for being the first person to bring up this issue. It was his note that prompted me to put this page together and drop Happy a note about it. I'm glad to help out. I think the information on that page should answer most questions. But if anyone has a question not covered there, feel free to drop me a note. I guess we learned our lesson: just because you're putting on a day of great music for a very worthwhile cause in a beautiful park on one of the most gorgeous days of the year, that doesn't necessarily mean anybody is going to show up. Those who elected to stay home and mow their lawn, or go jet-skiing, or go to another park where there wasn't any music going on missed one hell of a day. Speaking just for myself, I discovered a great new local band (Jargon Society, who proved correct my hunch that they'd be much better in person than on CD or that time I heard them live on the radio), got to see someone who is quickly vaulting into my personal pantheon perform for the first time (Molly Zenobia), and got to sit back and watch gleefully as Trina Hamlin blew everybody away. Rachael Sage showed that her next album is going to be even better than her last one (which is saying something), and it was great to see Dean Sharp again. Mila Drumke, Elissa Linowes and Lyris Hung were as wonderful as ever, and the severely sleep-deprived Edie Carey provided a wonderfully loopy close to the day. (Yes, I actually got to pay attention to some of the music this year! This third time around, we've kind of gotten the behind-the-scenes stuff down to something resembling a routine, albeit still somewhat of a chaotic one.) The day wasn't a total disaster, though. With the approximately 100 people who came, we managed to make $2100 for RAINN. This is short of our $2500 commitment, however. We don't have to send our transmittal to RAINN for a couple more weeks, so even if you didn't come because Happy wasn't playing, you can still help the cause. We've got lots of t-shirts and caps left, this year in very styling black with neon green print. You can see photos of real humans wearing actual shirts and caps at: http://www.smoe.org/jeffw/gallery/47/img_2510.jpg http://www.smoe.org/meth/efback.jpg Both the shirts (available in M, L, and XL) and caps are $15. To purchase, send a check made out to RAINN in the amount of your order to me at: 623 Whitney Ave. #2 New Haven, CT 06511 We'll mail the stuff right out to you, no worries about the postage. :) You can also send a donation to RAINN to that address (again, make a check out to RAINN), even if you don't want a shirt or cap. If you're not in the U.S., e-me about the PayPal option. We'd really like to reach our $2500 goal.
