Certainly this would be a hot item also for those fortunate enough to have had the live experience. I know that Happy has high standards regarding technical production, but surely something could be possible with video that exists already and/or video that could be produced once her hand is healed. Perhaps the resources of technophile ectophiles could facilitate the production. I am thinking that (again, once healing is complete) a video would not even have to be of a live performance and certainly not a glitzy montage of digital effects, but rather a simple, even intimate capture of songs performed exclusively for the video, with side chit chat, most likely with Happy grabbing the camera and capturing her point of view for us at some time, pictures of cats, etc. Anyway, this is certainly not a novel idea, but I am wondering why it has not been done yet. Lavish praise to the designers and artisans who created this magnificent work of temporary art! http://www.circlemakers.org/totc2001.html (I haven't yet found a bigger photo that's as clear as this one) I'm a sucker for temporary art such as sand paintings, butter and ice sculptures and the like. I'm in awe of people who create art knowing that it will be gone in a few hours/days/weeks. (Since Crop Circles have a "rep" I feel I must say that I firmly believe that people - brilliant, wonderful, talented *earthlings* - created this and all other Crop Circles. The circles themselves are easy to create, anyone could do it. Putting them into intricate, beautiful and symmetrical designs takes an artist, not an alien. That's My Humble Opinion.) According to accompanying blurb to the photos, the authors estimate that each circle had to be completed in less than a minute in order for humans to accomplish the circle under cover of darkness. If you have ever seen British workmen in action you will quickly realize that such an accomplishment is not possible :) I've never been very enamoured of the multitude of "aliens fixed my teeth" scenarios, ( do 'alien' and "artist' have to be mutually exclusive?) but this one looks rather awesomely huge for a team of humans to have accomplished overnight. It is apparently visible from the White Horse Hill, a prehistoric 200' horse carved out of the turf on a white chalk hill which is visited every day by hundreds of people, so it would seem that it had to have been finished in one night. (This was my old 'back yard' in the UK, and I know the area, not that that has anything to do with it.) I'd be interested in seeing if the wheat had inexplicable electromagnetic anomalies as have many of these circles. Some of them are hard to explain in terms of human engineering. I have also read that often, the way the wheat is bent over or broken is not in keeping with a group of sweaty, nocturnal humans running around harnessed to a horizontal beam or the like, and is also hard to explain by any other circumstances. Many of the UK crop circles showed up after a night of rain, and still there were no footprints or other marks showing the presence of creatures or objects in contact with the ground. They look to me like a symbolic language; perhaps we should ask linguists to analyze them, not scientists. Personally, I think most crop circles are just something the fairies get up to on a dull night. Phil " Ballet is the Fairies' baseball". As long as MetroNorth, taxis, buses are running, and my feet are working, I'm there. First time booking my own room, too. Two years ago, I tried taking it all-in in one day, MetroNorth, Ectomobile, Ectofest, Ectomobile, MetroNorth, but I was profoundly exhausted literally for weeks thereafter, putting a serious crimp in my music cafi hopping. I didn't even bother trying Ectofest again last year. Now, thanks to the wwweb, I have a chance to take it easy, Godwilling.
