If anyone's interested in buying it or trading for it let me know. I'd sell it at cost + postage (about $10). I'm new to ecto but have been a fan of Happy's for several years. I have seen two of her live shows here in Philly and she, along with many of the artists on ecto, continues to be one of my absolute favorite musicians. I was on her website (Auntie Social Music) right before I joined ecto, which was over a week ago, and read in the news section that a "special" CD offer had been made for members of ecto to help her raise money. Further exploration of the updates on her site revealed that the "special" CD offer was related to her injury. I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me what the offer is and how I can participate in it, seeing as I joined ecto a day or two late to recieve the offer in my e-mail. Thanks a lot! You might be interested in trying to get to ectofest next weekend. It's in Connecticut, but not too great a trip from Philly. It's the 3rd one up there (and we had the first west coast one earlier this year). Unfortunately, Happy cut her hand pretty severely out west, and won't be performing at ectofest this year. (She headlined the last two years.) However, there is still a great line-up of ectofriendly folks, and lots of ectophiles in attendance. Check out http://www.ectofest.org for details. > I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me what the offer is and how > I can participate in it, seeing as I joined ecto a day or two late to recieve > the offer in my e-mail. Thanks a lot! Unless I missed something, that offer has not been made yet. People had been talking about sending donations to Happy to pay for the surgery on her hand. She didn't like the idea of just taking donations, and said she would put out a disc of demos and rarities that would be available to ectophiles for a donation. Whatever people wanted to pay for the disc (presumably that includes amounts greater then the usual disc price) would go to pay for her medical expenses. We haven't heard any more since then. i'm sure we'll get some more info soon. neal ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 15:47:00 -0700 From: Phil Hudson Subject: RE: Happy's "special" CD offer Neal said: Unless I missed something, that offer has not been made yet. It goes without saying that the material is great, so I won't say it.
