Halou has signed with Vancouver, British Columbia-based Nettwerk Productions for the release of their second album, 'Wiser'. Nettwerk is known for releases by Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Coldplay, Skinny Puppy, and many more. 'Wiser' is scheduled for release in North America on October 16th, 2001. The album will contain 11 tracks recorded earlier this year at Halou's own studio. Among the tracks are newly recorded versions Of "I'll Carry You" and "Feeling This is Like to Fall Awake" featuring guest musicians on cello and double bass! All of the details of the release are available at www.halou.com including the cover artwork and final track listing. Halou is in the process of booking several performances around the release of the album so stay tuned for tour dates (hopefully near you!). The website has also been redesigned based on the album artwork and will continue to be updated with audio clips, more of the promotional artwork, and press/live information. As always, thanks for listening! We look forward to seeing you soon! Halou. (If you live in the Seattle area, call KEXP and request new Halou music! John from the Morning Show has been playing tracks from 'Wiser' for a couple of weeks now! Thanks, John!) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 13 Jul 2001 23:29:44 -0400 From: Ofer Inbar Subject: What to bring to Falcon Ridge In 1998 I responded to a question on the nields-nook mailing list by a couple of people who were going to Falcon Ridge Folk Festival for the first time, and camping for the first time in many years. I wrote up a list of what to bring, that turned out somewhat longer than I expected when I started the reply :) After writing it up and posting to nields-nook, I got a lot of feedback, posted to some other lists, repeated the following year... After updating and reposting the text three years in a row, I made it into a web site in the spring of 2000: http://cos.polyamory.org/frfflist.html This message is being posted to: nields nook, alt.music.moxy-fruvous, edheads, dar list, ecto, suspects, falcon-ridge If you know of any other mailing lists that this posting would be appropriate for, let me know. If you have feedback about the list of things to bring to Falcon Ridge, send me your suggestions. [I am subscribed to all of the above except dar list, but if you have feedback please email me directly because I may miss list postings.] -- Cos (Ofer Inbar) -- cos@aaaaa.org cos@polyamory.org -- WBRS Waltham 100.1 FM -- info@wbrs.org http://www.wbrs.org/ "Long live folk music, and this doomed festival!" -- moxy fruvous ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Jul 2001 00:18:49 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Fwd: ** Sage In The City / July!** Rachael Sage news ...
