Nothing that dramatic. Something like postcards or bumper stickers or something. I was quite surprised to see that Rounder was distributing this album (and maybe their older ones too?). It's the cover album and article in the latest Rounder catalog, and they make a huge deal about what a thrill it is to be putting out Cowboy Junkies albums. The Junkies, on the other hand, have been pretty quiet about it all. neal np: who's gonna save the world? - cindy lee berryhill ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 May 2001 17:41:56 -0600 (MDT) From: Neal Copperman Subject: CLB news I've been listening to Cindy Lee Berryhill's first album a bit at work lately. It's funny to listen to, as I got it later than all her other albums, and don't know it as well, though I know a lot of it from live performances. Anyway, I thought I'd look at her site to see if there was any news on new goings on over there. And there was, though not what I expected. Margo's distinctive vocals on the intro to "" grabbed my attention on last week's "ER" - the heavy scene when Abby was on the roof talking to Luka about her mother. and yes, I was so excited to hear the track that I immediately blanked out on the title ... anyone help me out here?? Actually ordering from cowboyjunkies.com gets you redirected to maplemusic.com, who I guess are handling it for them. Their shipping from Canada to the US is a little ridiculous imo (assuming you want the CD before fall starts), but I pre-ordered it anyway. They won't be shipping them out 'til the May 15th release date though. Anyway, here's the pre-order deal.... - ---------- The first 500 people to pre-order Open (beginning April 13, ending May 14) get the CD autographed by the band. ALL pre-orders receive limited-edition picture postcard and an OPEN sticker. Important Fine Print: Because of contractual obligations and record-company mumbo-jumbo, we CANNOT ship CDs before 5/15/01. You will not receive your CD before or on the release date. By pre-ordering the album from the Junk Store, you will automatically be entered in a random drawing for the following: 1 GRAND PRIZE EXTREMELY RARE VINYL PACKAGE 1 Latent Recordings Trinity Session LP 1 Latent Recordings Whites Off Earth Now! LP 1 Germinal LP 1 Germinal Cassette 1 original Hunger Project 45 rpm single 2 tickets to a show 10 FIRST PRIZES A pair of tickets to the show of your choice during the OPEN tour. - ---------- Michael np: Miles Davis -- Relaxing nr: Lord of Emperors by Guy Gavriel Kay ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 08 May 2001 22:36:32 -0500 From: Carolyn Andre Subject: Cowboy Junkies & ER ok, brain functioning returned - it was "Good Friday" on last week's episode.
