The ever-popular "Get up!" , "Get down!" would be nice. "Put your > hands in the air!" Some James Brown squeals as interpreted by Happy Rhodes. > An "Oh, baby." [...] > How about a "We're all ecto!" That got me thinking that "I'll be here, I'll be ecto" could make a great trance/dance/house/whatever track. Repeated indefinitely over a strong beat and a monotonous ethereal melody... Hmmmm... I can almost hear it now! :-) Kind regards, Marcel Rijs afd. Have got Anthony and the Johnsons cd thanks to Neal. Wow. he has a voice midway between Bryan Ferry's suave croon and a blues singers uneartly wail. The music is lush, intense cabaret. He has a way to connect the listener to both sorrow and rapture in the same song. Highly recommended for all fans of the genre. The website is an eponymous one. Anna Maria Yahoo! I have raved about Kitka on the list a few times, they are a Bulgarian/middle eastern - style women's choir, based in the Bay Area. www.kitka.org. Download a clip of their sublime " Shto Mi E Milo" from the Nektar album. http://www.kitka.org/music/index.html Their shows are always very transcendental and elevate the spirit. Sorry Neal, I checked their calendar; no gigs near you in the immediate future, but some on the PacWest coast during June, and a Japanese tour in November, I think; do we have any Ectos in Japan? Don't miss them! Regards Phil - -----Original Message----- From: Neal Copperman [mailto:neal@swcp.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2001 11:55 PM To: ecto@smoe.org Subject: Kitka? Worse yet, no packaging, which is usually a very sad thing when it comes to an OTR disc. I'll probably replace it with a real one some day. Thanks to all the well wishers from my previous posts. And for the date-challenged, or more likely date-disbelieving like me, we're coming up on the 2 week warning of the submission deadline (4/1). I've already heard from some contributors regarding a little leeway, others please let me know if you're on schedule.
