Easy ones for me: Accidental Tourist- John Williams - the title melody is a thread used throughout many tracks on the soundtrack, all with different personalities and moods. Cosmos - the Vangelis piece "Heaven And Hell" is fairly recognizable to anyone who ever watch this series. Diva - Sentimental Walk - Vladimir Cosma - not the "true" title song, which would be "La Wally", but the "other" song used pervasively in the movie... (Another Brick in) The Wall - Pink Floyd - almost a chicken and egg paradox. Is the album the soundtrack to the movie or is the movie an embodiment of the album? This is one of my biggest heroes and it's pretty upsetting, I would just like to ask any of you whom it might concern to keep him in your prayers/contemplations/etc. I've included the health statement from the 10km mailing list if any of you would like to read it. Peace Joe As many of you may have heard from various news media reports (and that old telephone game we all played as kids), Rob Buck is in the hospital. He is in critical but stable condition with a disease that he has known about for a long time which has gotten progressively worse over the past few months. Last week, it got drastically worse. We have no knowledge, and nor do his doctors, of what single event set off the final severe problems last week that have led to his hospitalization. We may never know. We consider all of you part of our big Maniac family and appreciate any thoughts and prayers that you might be able to direct Rob's way. Rob is not in a position to accept visitors to his hospital room and for security and safety reasons, we will not be releasing the name or whereabouts of the hospital. Nor is Rob in a position to accept flowers, so we ask that nobody send flowers. If you want to send Rob and his family a card, I'm sure they would all love to receive them. Please send them in care of Big WalkUp Management, 362 Rhode Island Street, Buffalo NY 14213. I must stress that no packages of any kind will be accepted at this address. If you feel absolutely compelled to send something that would require more than a postal envelope for packaging, management will consider your pleas on an as-is basis. Those pleas can be addressed to BlairW@aol.com. We have had a few inquiries from friends and fans wanting to send gifts or flowers. If you feel compelled to do something other than send a card, the band has set up a bank account to help Rob's family offset the costs of eating, sleeping and waiting in a city far away from their hometown. Proceeds from donations to this fund will do just what has been stated: aid Rob's parents in what is a financial hardship to be away from work and home. Doctors say this could be a long process. The film is a little dated now, but chances are, if you like Austin Powers, Carnaby Street in the 70's, Peter, Ringo, or just enjoy scenes of everyday people bobbing for banknotes in an overfilled septic tank, you're in for an interesting ride.
