Excellent! I really like it, and it will be spinning for quite awhile. However, one question: what's with the name Sarah and Canadian musical talent? :-) Matt Bittner __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Initially it gave me the impression of being a joke. But when I saw that bit about wanting bank account info, I came to the conclusion that it very likely was some criminal fraud being perpetrated. The FBI has set something up to deal specifically with internet fraud. So I forwarded it to them at . Their response was that they'd received copies of that note from a good number of people. MixMag recently had a decent article about one of their concerts. The only thing that I wish to add is that it is great music to listen to after a long night of clubbing. As soon as I hop in my car after dancing I start with Air, then move onto some Fat Boy Slim, and Dario G. Compaired to much of the electronica I found Air to be a refreshing change. In other words, don't have any preset >"ambiences" in place, and take out any bass or treble boosts. i think Paul is all right on here, pick out songs *you* know well, that span your tastes, and that you have listened to lots of different places. even if the speakers are for pleasure listening it really really is best to listen to them dry and flat, you can always add that stuff back later and know that some speakers sound better loud than quiet or vice and versa so try and play them how they'll be played at home. one tricky thing is not to stress the bass too much since if you love your bassthumpintechnotoons you'll want a separate subwoofer too and so having, the speakers needn't carry the bass cross. some systems have matching subs which is nice but nothing my checkbook can reach. don't listen to anything you can't afford, especially if it says Genelec, that'll send you home crying one way or the other instead of happy. and aren't new speakers all about happy? -veronica (who has event 20/20bas instead of absolute 4ps, mackie hr8-whatevers, or anything by genelec) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 Aug 2000 23:24:49 -0400 From: meredith Subject: Re: Dar's new one Hi!
