If last year is any indication, people might be able to catch a ride from Baltimore to ectofest, though I am NOT offering! (Actually, I may be looking for such a ride myself. I'm working out the details of a trip for work that will put me in the vicinity of B-more at the time of ectofest. Any DC-philes driving up again?) neal np: KUNM ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2000 03:00:03 -0400 (EDT) From: Mike Matthews Subject: Today's your birthday, friend... i*i*i*i*i*i i*i*i*i*i*i *************** *****HAPPY********* **************BIRTHDAY********* *************************************************** *************************************************************************** ********************* Happy Rhodes (no Email address) ********************* *************************************************************************** -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Happy Rhodes Mon August 09 1965 HolyGhost Michael Stevens Sat August 12 1967 For Sale or Lease Martin Dougiamas Wed August 20 1969 Positive Tori Amos Thu August 22 1963 Leo Sam Warren Tue August 22 1961 Leo Henk Van Wulpen Sat August 22 1970 Leo Kerry White Wed August 22 1951 Exact Leo/Virgo Don Gibson Wed August 26 1959 Virgo Marcel Rijs Mon August 31 1970 A rose growing old Meredith Tarr Wed September 01 1971 Virgo Scott Zimmerman Mon September 04 1972 Virgo Mike Mendelson Fri September 04 1964 Virgo Richard Dean Wed September 06 1967 Virgo David Blank-Edelman Sat September 09 1967 Neon - -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Aug 2000 09:26:33 +0200 From: Dirk Kastens Subject: Happy Birthday Happy The subject says it all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY :-) Hope, you have a nice celebration. Hey folks, Just heard a song on the radio that I really liked, by a band called Shivaree. Does anyone know if the album's worth getting? (CDNow compares them to Maria McKee and the Cowboy Junkies, but the song I heard didn't really sound like that to me...) Subject: RE: Cheap airfare to ectofest Southwest also flies into Albany now, which is about a 2-hour drive from Danbury. There's an airport in Newburgh, NY, which would be no more than an hour from Danbury, but unfortunately I don't know which airlines provide service there. - ------Original Message------ From: rjk1@cs.wustl.edu (Bob Kollmeyer) To: ecto@smoe.org Sent: August 9, 2000 3:51:38 AM GMT Subject: Cheap airfare to ectofest I'm a bit behind, but figured there's a chance this might be of use to at least a couple 'philes - Southwest has published this week's sale fares at http://www.southwest.com/special_offers/hotfares/ - good for flights Aug 29 - Dec 9, overnight stay required. They don't serve much of the NorthEast (look at their name...), but they do fly into Hartford. Unfortunately, only 2 cities made it this week: Nashville - Hartford: $130+taxes round trip Indianapolis - Hartford: $158+taxes round trip Flights have to be booked by Thursday night, and flight selection is limited; once the sale seats fill up, they're gone. They're the only airline I know of that publishes discount specials for travel weeks in advance; the rest seem to do it for the coming weekend only. bob np - Shai no Shai - "Human Condition" ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2000 12:16:28 -0400 From: "Foghorn J Fornorn" Subject: RE: Cheap airfare to ectofest You're thinking of Stewart airport in Newburgh, NY, about an hour from Danbury. I have their album ("I Oughta Give You a Shot in the Head for Making Me Live in This Dump") and really like a few of the songs--particularly Goodnight Moon. It's pretty varied stylistically and I've found them hard to pin down. Vocally the lead singer reminds me a little of Julie Miller, a little of Lisa Cerbone. I think they're worth checking out, but certainly wouldn't call them an ecto must-have. Jeff Hanson n.p. The Million Dollar Hotel - Soundtrack n.r.
