I just saw Tara MacLean and Chantal Kreviazuk perform last night. What a great show! They were both fabulous! I was wondering if anyone else had seen her lately on tour and if you know what the music is that she has playing before the show? I am assuming that the musical choice is hers, but I could be wrong. Here's a little description: Female, sounds vocally almost identical to Tara. "Darker" than Tara almost dirge-like. Mostly sings in French Maybe a cello I thought this sounded like the description you guys have given for Jorane so I went to her web site and listened to the Real Audio and I don't believe it's the same person. Anyone have any idea who it is? Their Web page (http://members.aol.com/blueslive/) has info on the CD, but no purchase info. I hear that they only sell the CD at live gigs in Bay Area venues. Might one of you Bay Area comrades be able to track this down for me? Interestingly enough, tho', I've got a promotional cd for "Woman's Boat" where in the interview tracks she asserts she really didn't do the World Music thing, in her own view, until after "House of Hope." Go figure. As far as I'm concerned, she's a must do. Kind of like Mary Margaret O'Hara, tiny body of work, but something you shouldn't be without.
