She has been a regular here on the local scene for some time - - initially part of the folk scene (as a regular at a local club called Rasputin's). She has put out a number of independent releases, participated in local compilations (as well as the label stuff readily available). A highly respected local icon here who deserves the key to the city ahead of another locally bred teen dance queen and national anthem singer whom I leave to your imagination... I saw something on Luba a while back indicating she might jump back into recording, but have not seen anything since. Regards, Dave. April 19 was the day of the Waco, Texas massacre as well as the Oklahoma City bombing. Maybe this has something to do with that, although the 33 has me stumped. Of course, that doesn't really fit with "expedition" either, so it's probably just a big coincidence, like the fact that it's also my brother's birthday. anyone got a better idea? > ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Apr 1999 13:21:40 -0800 From: "Anna Elaine Pryde" Subject: Re: two really silly questions Joseph stated: > This goes back to the shellac crisis of World War II.
