The URL for our web site is: http://www.kmichaels.com We belong to several Female Singer/Songwriter web rings. I think that it would be a fabulous idea to have an Ectophiles' web ring. There are so many talented and interesting individuals here on Ecto (poets, movie buffs/critics, kite flyers/designers, songwriter/musicians, etc.). I think that the web ring would be very fun, interesting and informative. When I was new on the list, I would make the attempt to check out each person's web site that listed one in their sig section. Having all of these sites in a ring would make it easy for a newbie to get a flavour of the personalities and talents here within Ecto. Of course it would help keep all of us up to date and informed on many cool things! Great points! I don't find the images to be shocking per se, just disturbing. Yes, these disturbing images do go hand in hand with the lyrical content of the early albums. I can generally handle the disturbing images created by words more than those created for a visual format. I can read a horror novel (not my favorite of genres) and can deal with the heavy imagary but have a hard time with seeing a truly horrifying film. However, the written word can pack the same punch at times. I must admit that parts of The Shining, for example, did really scare the hell out of me. On visual imagery, I prefer the surreal and even the bizarre to the macabre. ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V5 #82 *************************
