I saw in the Baltimore City Paper today that Holly McNarland will be playing at Fletcher's in Fells Point on Tuesday, opening for that Bran Van 3000 group (ugh)...tickets are only 5 bucks...anyone up for it. Also, on May 5th (date was changed from the 6th), Chantal Kreviazuk will be opening for *cough cough* Lisa Loeb at Bohagers in Fells Point. Admission is 15 bucks. I'll probably be there with comp tickets just to see Chantal. Jonatha Brooke at the Ram's Head on the 22nd, Susan Werner at Wolf Trap (I think) on the 24th (i think)...anyone going to either show... I need help. Since 1992 or 1993, I've been searching for a song. I haven't been able to find it. It's by Chumbawamba and was on their 1992 release _Shhhh_ which i just got today. The song is called "Behave!". However, the version on the album is different than the one that i want. I believe that the one i wish for is on the single, _Behave_. I don't think that the single is widely available anymore, but i was wondering if anyone has it, or if someone out there in the UK or in Germany would be able to find it for me...needless to say, this has been eating away at me, body and soul, for many years ;) Please help me out. I'd be grateful like nobody's business. I'm probably going to go to that. I thought it was funny the number of shows I saw coming up that I wanted to attend for the opening act. I wanted to go see Congo Norville tonight at the Ottobar, but I was too tired after an exhausting Passover Sedar. I sure am glad that family wasn't mine! I'd be totally nuts then. > Also, on May 5th (date was changed from the 6th), Chantal Kreviazuk will be > opening for *cough cough* Lisa Loeb at Bohagers in Fells Point. Admission is > 15 bucks. I'll probably be there with comp tickets just to see Chantal. I don't know Chantal's stuff enough to go see her. I get mixed vibes from what I read, and I despise Lisa Loeb, so I doubt I'll be going to that. > Jonatha Brooke at the Ram's Head on the 22nd, Same night as Tori at 9:30. Not that I have tix to that. I'm only lukewarm on Jonatha, so I don't know if I'll go or not. She's at the Birchmere the night before. If work slows down a bit, I could go. > Susan Werner at Wolf Trap (I > think) on the 24th (i think)...anyone going to either show... Takes more than SW to lure me to WOlf Trap. (Not that I didn't enjoy her show last time I saw her, but it's a long drive and I saw her relatively recently.) Next show I'll be at is the Bruford, Levin, Torn one at the Birchmere on Wednesday. Upcoming intersting things I am very likely to be attending: April: Sat 18: Kennedy's & Lisa McCormick house concert in Columbia MD Thur 23: June Rich, 8X10 (with one of the worst named bands I've heard of in ages - Ginghem Schmutz) Sat 25: Nields at the American Music Festival in DC (I have no idea what this is, and am tied up until the evening anyway.) Wed 29: Tom Vincent & Vyktoria Pratt Keating - Baldwin's Station Sat May 2: Projekt 2 (Fripp/Belew) at Bohagers (have tix for this) Fri May 8: Kronos Quartet at Lisner Auditorium (have tix for this too) And, for the weekend to die for Sat May 16: Holly Cole at the Bayou Sun May 17: Kristin Hersh at Iota Neal np: Eva Cassidy - eva by heart ------------------------------ End of ecto-digest V4 #113 **************************
