For the gearheads in the audience, the oddly shaped guitar she uses is a Parker Fly guitar, which has attributes of both an acoustic and an electric guitar, as far as the sound is concerned. Jonatha's unofficial web page is: http://www.cs.umd.edu/users/rager/Story/ and from this site you can access her mailing list, dog-dreams. When's that new > Kate Bush LP coming out....? ;) Would this be where I point out that it *has* been 4 years since the last fully new Happy Rhodes release? And it's only been 4.5 years since the last Kate Bush release (November '93, for those who've lost track). Okay, okay, so we had _The Keep_ in between, and really, every track on there was new in *some* way. And _The Keep_ is one of my very favorite HR discs. But let's be fair to KaTe here. ;-) jeff - -- |Jeffrey C. My boyfriend was at that show as well and he had a great time. Two of his friends from Universal were there and he got a chance to meet and talk w/ Jonatha after the show, which I demanded he spend all of his time giving her a message from me since I couldn't be there. :) Just kidding. Anyway, he said it was a great show and she's very nice and funny off-stage. I can't wait to someday.... see her live... There is a mailing list, it's called Dog Dreams. For more info contact David Rager, he's the one that has to sub you and give you the info on subbing. His address is rager@cs.umd.edu. There isn't a lot of list traffic usually, right now we're working on a tribute cd. It's a cool list--small and everyone is pretty cool. :) Jessica ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Mar 1998 14:43:29 -0500 From: Richard Subject: Re: Jonatha Brooke in Vancouver, BC Yeowww!!! The night before I read your review, I discovered that JB is actually trekking all the way up here to Portland on April 17 and I don't have to drive to NYC or even Boston to see her!! Of course, Disney/Miramax could have done the right thing by adding the words "Three Colors" to the titles of the films that make up Kieslowski's swan song (the others being "White" and "Red"). Of course, they could have also employed someone sane (who actually saw these films) to write the sleeve blurbs instead of a carnival barker...
