The titles are "What We Did On Our Holiday" (also simply titled "Fairport Convention" in the USA) & "Unhalfbricking". Both of these have mezmerising Sandy performances. Unlike the majority of anyone's late 60's & early 70's recordings, these albums (& "Leige & Leaf") do not sound dated at all. Also, Javaho wrote: <> This is a commonly perpetuated myth that is totally untrue. This tragedy happenned just as she and husband Trevor Lucas were planning to move to America to launch a new life and career. Her death came nine months after the much-desired birth of the couple's first child, Georgia. Sandy was 31 years old. Many apologies, Whoa, Philip! I don't think an apology is necessary here - for several reasons... 1) It wasn't your intention to start a lengthy Cassini discussion 2) Even if it was, that would be ok - If people didn't want to talk about it, they wouldn't have! but they did, it blew past, annoyed some, probably entertained / educated others (at least about varying opinions), and that's ok... 3) etc. etc. (stuff about this being ecto, and its ok to talk about stuff) So, thanks for the concern, but don't worry 'bout it! right? - -Richard. @ \@/ Richard A. Well, I picked up her "Fountains Free" from a cutout bin several years ago, and dug it out due to your question. It isn't something I'd call particularly ecto, except that she is female. Her music is very much "mainstream", IMHO, and a bit dancey (with synths, beats etc), and mostly topics are about love and attraction; stuff you'd see your dj spinning at the local singles bar, I'd imagine (not having ever *been* in one, mind you!). Kinda ok to listen to if you're in that kinda mood, a bit better than you'd find listening to the radio, but not spectacular (e.g., well done for its style). Does that help? I still remember hearing the announcement on the radio, a really tragic loss.
