If this is true I think it's rather a shame as I think it was to quite a large extent HIS influence on "Bohemia" that made that album so extremely enjoyable. It seems to me that Happy could benefit greatly from working with somebody like Steve Kilbey to give her albums a great sound to go with the great songs and great vocal performances she's already got. ARGH! John Sandoval, who came up with the info that Sarah McLachlan was going to be playing the Warner here in DC on March 22nd was only half right: the tickets don't get on sale the 21st, they went on sale YESTERDAY! And to think, just this morning I checked the posting outside the ticketbastard^* in our student union and there was _still_ no mention of the show. Fortunately, I don't seem to be the only who didn't know about it. My zeal to see Sarah from decent seats meant that I didn't get to go to the box office as originally planned, but instead let myself get screwed over by ticketbastard. Considering that it would be a day or two before I could get down to the theater, it seemed vaguely worthwhile. I must admit, that where things like seeing Sarah are concerned, I tend to lose what little capacity I have for rational thought. Tickets were rather pricey, even without the service charge, a whopping $27.25 (or was that 27.50? I lost track of the charges). But for both Sarah *and* Paula Cole, can I really complain? I'm not sure I remember the last concert in which I owned material by both the opening act and the headliner. ;-) Anyway, we'll be in row C, orchestra right. Drop by and say hi. Actually, maybe the various ectophiles in the area could do dinner or something before or after the show.... ^* Would you believe I had to pay $6.25 in service charges? Oh, excuse me, they've got a new patter. Now it's a "convenience charge." I really had to control myself not to start screaming at the lady when she said that. If the idjits had actually gone to the trouble of advertising when tickets went on sale, it would have been *perfectly* convenient for me to arrange to be at the box office yesterday morning. What wasn't convenient was finding out after the fact at a time when I could no longer head into the city. Jeff |Jeffrey C. This is really an issue with the browser at your end. You should be able to turn off picture downloads at the click of a button and then download them later if you like. I admit that some of the larger graphics (30K or so) may take a while on a slow link, but the pages are meant to be fairly flexible.
