Tower Records in Costa Mesa has most of the albums....and Tower in Tustin has some....those are the best bets I know....those are of course, in the Orange County area....I bought RhodeSongs at the Tustin one, but the Costa Mesa still has a better selection.... There are a number of mail order compainies on the net (CD Connection is one) that have a better selection of CDs than you're likely to find at most stores. I've used CD Connection a few times over the past year, and have been generally pleased. If you'd like to check them out, telnet to cdconnection.com -- their system is menu driven, and you can search their database (by album title, name of artist, etc.) to see what they've got. (I'm pretty sure they carry all of Happy's CDs, though they didn't have the new one listed yet last time I checked, which was a couple of days ago.) -- Mike Uchima -- uchima@fnal.fnal.gov ======================================================================== Date: 01 Sep 94 11:10:56 EDT From: Mike Mendelson Subject: over the edge Vickie wrote: |BTC just keeps getting better and better! It takes lots of |listenings and much getting-used to. After repeated listenings the blur is focussing and I am beginning to agree. The big question will be how long will I continue to want to listen to this. BTW, on the flipside of my btc tape I recorded Jane's 1st CD, which I'd never heard before. I think it is now my favorite Jane CD, although it is hard to compare to some of her later stuff. Does anyone else think this CD sounds *alot* like the Roches, esp. their 1st CD? Jane can do with one voice what it took them 3 to do. I thought Tori was trying to be way too enigmatic on Kinnear. Then again, he is such a grinning idiot he didn't deserve any less. BTW, Meth (I think it was she) was incorrect about the length of the former Later show -- it was also just 1/2 an hour long, except it seemed longer because the entire half hour was devoted to the guest, unlike the new Later, which squanders over half the time with worthless tripe. All the times I've watched it I've always felt like it was a waste because the guest hardly got any focus. Woo hoo! My name is Julie Christina Kammerzell, aka Bubba, and can be found on IRC on the #ecto channel frequently. So hello there *8-) I just came back from Vancouver BC from Neil K. Guy's gathering for ectophiles, and it was very wonderful. Met so many new people (and folks i'd known in the net world, but not yet IRL), and was quite suprised to find that many of them were wonderful people who i got along with fabulously (not a rotten apple in the bunch). Thanks again to Neil for hosting the fest. It was a very special gathering. Feel free to drop me a "hello" if you like . . . it might take me a bit to respond but will try my best. Thanks much - Julie Christina, aka Bubba ======================================================================== Date: Thu, 01 Sep 94 16:45:13 +0100 From: Terry Partis Date: Thu, 1 Sep 94 13:00:33 -0400 Subject: Re: Los Angeles Happy fans?? > Is there anywhere out there where Happy can be found in stores? > Any of the Towers? This is nowhere near Santa Monica, but here in Atlanta, Tower has multiple copies of every Happy album *except* _BtC_. Meanwhile, Camelot for a while had removed the divider for Happy and never bothered to restock her CDs. Now, they have _BtC_ before Tower does. Very strange. BTW, Happy Birthday Meredith!
