Now I've finally catched up with all the digest. Unfortunately (?) I will be off the net for 5 days again. Weekend, 2 days of my holiday and a public holiday. Well, maybe I sneak into to company one of those days, trying to get my digests without being put back to work. It's a pity I can't access the net from home. :( Martin: > Oh! if only *I* could've done that interview... You can. I think Vickie will do another Ectophile interview in the future (right?), so you can already think about some questions. In the meantime you could also participate in the Kevin interview. Meredith about the _Warpaint_ cover: > You can actually see what she looks like, and it's a neat pose. I just remembered that Jessica, who met her, said that she look different in person. Lot's of time left. Noone is sending tapes so far. Vickie will compile the tape. Jessica: > I've been tihnking about the song I choose, i'm thinking perhaps I'll > do something of me singing. *Not* choosing a Kate song will be hard, Just do it, noone will stop you. As some Ectophiles already noted that they would like to hear you singing, this would be an excellent opportunity. Let's see, I have the trademark information around here somewhere. Oh, here it is: (tm) Ecto: The Warm Fuzzy Blue Mailing List, PO Box 11291, New Brunswick, NJ 08906 USA. Alan joins the long list of 'Stuff/Vickie' writers: Is Jon Drukman on this list? Why are you shifting the blame on him anyway? Is he one of the gaffa-ites who ectonians can't stand or something? What's going on? Well... if you really want to know.... To answer your questions: No, why not (Gee, that's mean of me!), and yes. If I can dig it out, I'll e-mail a copy of his infamous Happy Rhodes review, and you can get an hint of what was going on. To fully understand, you need to have read rec.music.gaffa for the last six months or so and some early Ecto posts. To keep things simple, let's just call it a clash of personalities. [By the way, Alan, I'm trying to send some e-mail to you, trying a different address every other day. Please let me when you get one, and which address worked.] Meredith chides: If we all don't watch it, some Monty Python member is going to poke his head in here and say, "Stop this right now- this is just getting too silly!" :) Better that than the Spanish Inquisition. I'll leave to your imagination who that could be :-). Barry asked: Also, I was wondering, does anyone here like printout all the ecto posts? If so do you mail them out? Initially that's what I thought the Newsletter was going to be, a compilation of ecto posts. Well, I keep the posts on disk organized by month, and here are the file sizes in bytes, number of lines, and number of pages (assuming 60 lines per page). Happy.0991 287962 6777 113 Happy.1091 770814 18354 306 Happy.1191 608396 13368 222 I hope that answers part of your question. As to whether someone has actually weathered printing out that mass of posts, I believe Vickie mentioned doing it to send to Happy, though that was when the volume was much lower than today. A warm fuzzy blue welcome to Jim and Cathy, and whoever else has joined our ship recently. Finally, I'll get Jessica jealous again. Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Here in Minneapolis we're still digging out from the Halloween Blizzard -- almost 30 inches of snow that clogged my snowthrower, broke my shovel, wasn't good for X-country skiing, and actually caused some folks to beat up others with baseball bats! Don't let any smug Minnesotan *ever* tell you that tons o' snow isn't a bother -- it is! The only good thing to happen because of that blizzard was that I didn't have to go to work -- I actually couldn't even get out of my *yard* for a couple days -- so I could stay in and listen to 'Warpaint' which I'd received a few days earlier.
