The UK releases (_Metamatic_, _The Garden_ and _Assembly_) are the easiest ones to find, but you might still be able to turn up copies of the (now deleted) UK CD of _In Mysterious Ways_. However, *all* five albums (ie the four original studio ones plus the compilation) were released on CD in Japan late last year *including* _The Golden Section_ (which I've got sitting on the desk right in front of me at the moment). Oooh, though it looks like a potential flame war is hovering over our heads, I can't keep quiet about it and leave SteveL out there all alone. Yes, I also like digipaks! Got about 15 of them, the last one being the new Kristen Hersh album, and I have much less problems with them than with jewel cases. If I'd have the choice between the two formats (most of the time I don't) I would most certainly buy the digipak. OK, they don't protect the artwork as well, but if I care for the artwork of a certain CD I will handle it with care. If I don't care about it, it doesn't matter that much. Jewel cases showcase our fast food society. Like I've read on these pages: if it breaks I can get a new one for a buck or less. Just great! :( How much garbage do you want to create with your "if-it-breaks-I-simply-get-a-new-one" attitude instead of taking care? If jewel cases wouldn't break that easily, I would be quite happy with them. But the way they are I consider them much more wasteful. I've been thinking for a while to ask Happy to release her new album in a digipak. What do you think? No, this is not a joke. Yes, I will probably play that album a hundred times or more. Won't that put too much stress on the paperboard? No, it won't, because I won't take it out of the case a hundred times but play it again and again. _____ Klaus "Cosmic Vagabond" Kluge --*-- klaus@inphobos.wupper.de "I saw the four seasons sitting on the back of wooden horses ... turning in a roundabout" Peacock Palace, "Like a snake" ======================================================================== Date: Tue, 15 Feb 1994 17:28:44 CST From: Subject: Strange interrelationships Did anyone but me ever stop to think that Tuesday, new release day, is the same day that most elections are held in this country?
