Cats and Free Association I forgot ======================================================================== This Digest is being sent out a bit early, so that Chris' message can be read ASAP by anyone who might be in the area (The NYC area :) and be interested in activities for Saturday. --jessica ======================================================================== From: boek@mullian.ee.mu.oz.au (Christopher Boek) Subject: A Plan for Satuirday Date: Wed, 18 Aug 1993 07:17:20 +1000 (EST) Hi all, apologies to all to whom this message is of no interest, but it was easier to post this to the list than to hunt down the individual mail addresses of all concerned. :) I have a plan for Saturday that will allow (hopefully) me to meet Meredith before I leave for the land under the sea ... So if Bob, Meredith and any others who would like to participate would like to tell me whether they like the idea, then please let me know. Basically, I thought we could all meet at the Metropolitan Museum of art, mainly because I really really wanted to go there and haven't had a chance to do so as yet, and when I suggested it to Greg, he liked the idea, and Christine was also instrumental in the formation of the idea (which is a long way of saying that it was in fact _her_ idea) . This makes the potential course of events thus ... Saturday morning, Bob and I drive to New Brunswick and pick up Greg, and anyone else there who would like to come, and go on to NYC tooo go to the museum. There we would meet Meredith at some predetermined time (around Midday I guess), THen we wander around the Museum for a little while, and if we get bored we could go somewhere else or whatever, and then at around 4, we go on to JFK for my departure from this land, to the land that lies mostly underwater. If this suits all people mentioned above, and those who aren't (like woj or jessica or Chiristine) then it's a plan. otherwise, we should come up with something else :) Here's hoping. (because I really like this plan :) ) Chris. -- | ||| ||| | ||| ||| ||| | ||Christopher Boek - boek@mullian.ee.mu.oz.au | ||| ||| | ||| ||| ||| | || Dept Elec Eng Univ of Melbourne Australia | | | | | | | | | / "Anybody remotely interesting is mad in |___|___|___|___|___|___|___|___| \_/\_/\_/\_/\__/(:*- some way or another" ======================================================================== From: ezust@binkley.cs.mcgill.ca (Alan Ezust) Date: Tue, 17 Aug 93 16:17:42 EDT Subject: any riverside/san bernadino area ectophiles out there? I'm going to be in Lake Elsinore, CA, visiting family, for a few days during the last weekend of August... I have no idea how much free time I will have, but if i do have some, I'd like to give a few fellow ectophiles a call and maybe we can arrange a get-together... If you are interested, please e-mail me with your phone number, as I will not be e-mail accessible during my visit... -- | Alan Ezust ezust@{binkley.}cs.mcgill.ca Montreal, Quebec, Canada | |------------- McGill University School of Computer Science ----------------| Non-determinism means never having to say you are wrong. ======================================================================== Date: Tue, 17 Aug 93 15:06:48 CDT From: Cogito Eggo Sum/Cogito Eggo N=Cogito Eggo Mean Subject: Cats and Free Association >and The Other One (emergency backup cat2) sleeps in the bathtub, Vickie's lucky. Can't seem to make up my mind which Blast From The Past it's more of an implicit homage to: Shirley Ellis' "The Name Game" or Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start The Fire." :-) I have just realized that by setting my mind to composing this post, such as it is, I have allowed an entire interview on _Fresh Air_ with the author of the new book _I Was A Teenage Professional Wrestler_ to go by without my paying the slightest bit of attention. If I do it another seven times, I'll have let it go by without my paying the slightest byte of attention :-). Makes one wonder about my priorities, doth it not? :-) Off to Rose to ask about _Rhodes Songs_, which I don't think they'll be gett- ing in during the storewide sale but should at least make Sgt. Bob happy. Perhaps I can claim CO status from KP or latrine detail for having gotten Stuart Rosenberg interested in theory :-).
