Liked it, but wasn't that excited about it at first. However, she kinda grows on you. Perhaps the best new artist of the year, to wit: 2002--Tift Merritt 2003--Kathleen Edwards 2004--Mindy Smith Will Kate Earl join them in 2005? Time will tell. BTW, anyone read the article in the New York Times Magazine about the influence of Nic Harcourt's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" program on Santa Monica's KCRW in nurturing talent? Methinks they gave the station, program, and Harcourt too much credit, overlooking KCRW's numerous other peers, such as WXPN, KLCC, WFUV, WUMB, etc., who play vital roles as well.
