March 16 is drawing ever nearer, but Vanguard has finally updated their info and now Catie's new release "Dreaming In Romance Languages" is available for preorder. They've got three clips up there for you to take a listen to too. Check out the info & pix: http://www.vanguardrecords.com/CatieCurtis/home.html I was lucky enough to get a promo release copy and have heard the CD...many times! LOL ;) It's great! Catie's got quite a blend of sounds going on in this one. She'd mentioned that she really liked the dual acoustic guitar flavor of Acoustic Valentine and wanted to play with that on this CD. You can hear that in several of the cuts. You also hear a lot of Julie Wolf on the various keyboard instruments, hammond organ sound, accordian, etc. She's got a few on here that live up to her "folk rock goddess" stature and really get you moving right along with her typical 'hit your heart' kinds of songs. I'm not a music critic or writer, so I'm not as prolific with my assessment...besides, y'all are going to make your own as soon as you get the CD anyway! ;) Wanted to welcome several listers to our CatieCurtis.net community too! One of the cool things about forum boards like the one there is that comments stay archived, so no matter when you join us, you can easily catch up on what folks have been sharing...AND, it doesn't fill your email box!! ( I know, Deb, dads-yard comments are archived too, just not as easy to read! :) Looking forward to having some conversations about people's reaction to the CD and tour reviews!! Righty o, I gotta get back to work. Happy Monday! ...hahaha... Heather "Change is difficult.
