So I don't exactly have a copy of Acoustic Valentine yet, but my roommate got hers (though we ordered at the same time...grrr), and I LOVE it! I am Quite impatient for mine to arrive... Anyway, I must agree with Jeff about Magnolia St -- it's pretty much my favorite Catie song, but I like the "produced" version and the live versions I've heard better than the one on this CD. I think it's because it's already pretty acoustic in the produced version, so she didn't acousticize it for this version, exactly, but did want to change it. My main problem with it is that it's so much faster than the other versions I've heard... But agh, that song is just so passionate and True and just makes me grin every time I hear it... But I think the same thing happened with Troubled Mind (that it was already pretty acoustic), but I love that song so much that she could play it on accordion 8 times too fast and I'd still adore it. But anyway. Amazing amazing CD. And if mine doesn't come soon I might go crazy. And may I say I am SO jealous of those on the west coast right now! I'm from Southern California but am in school in PA (and it's SO COLD!), and Catie is coming to my city in CA next week! But I'm making all of my friends who are still in the area go see her. :) I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and that those on this lovely east coast don't freeze... ~ Natasha ------------------------------ End of dads-yard-digest V5 #11 ******************************
