"If you are a TV watcher, you might want to check out the WB show Alias this Sunday night, October 6th. Apparently "Fusco's Song," which was the hidden track on "A Crash Course inRoses" will play during a quiet little scene." I was sure it was Catie's voice, I was straining to hear it, but they kept talking over it...the nerve!...(by the way ALIAS is on ABC)...what exactly is a hidden track, and how does one listen to it? I recognized the song as it played, but if its not readily available on the CD, how do I know it? I guess from concerts... Also, Catie mentioned new tour dates, specifically in the DC area, but there did not appear to be one listed, was this a typo? _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Oct 2002 10:54:41 -0500 From: "Pam" Subject: Re: [dads-yard] ALIAS and Tour Dates Hidden tracks are just like regular tracks on a CD, only they're not listed on the liner notes. One of my favorite hidden tracks is the 15th song on Mary Chapin Carpenter's latest CD Time* Sex* Love*. There are 14 tracks listed, but if you wait about 30 seconds or so after the last one finshes, there's a whole 'nother song. Pam. Alanis Morissette's "Your House" is about 5 minutes after the last track, and it's included in the last track. So the last track has a time length of like 9 minutes. It kinda sucks when you really like the song, but in order to hear it you need to fast forward. The Indigo Girls' "Philosophy of Loss" is another one. On Come On Now Social, after "Faye Tucker," the track continues with a long pause, then "Sister(reprise)," then another pause, and "Philosophy Of Loss." One irritatingly long track. I just found out Alice Peacock's latest has a hidden track! I keep thinking, why are they doing this? Because they can. Big whoop! Just give me all the songs listed, OK?
