Here's the set list from the Show Friday night on 6-7-02.

The opener was Jimmy Ryan and he had a "Suprise, Mystery guest" join him on his last song~~  Catie Curtis,  it was funny..

- -Catie commented on the venue, which among many other things used to be a Drag Queen Styling Center....
- - Patience

- - Catie talked about folk music and what she thought was traditional folk music...Cover of "Rollerskates" by Melanie and then a "Traditional" folk song
- - My Shirt Looks Good On You
- - Intro to Elizabeth, talks about her dog, a pug named Sam and his bug eyes...  Then says she wrote the song "Elizabeth" when on tour with Dar Williams and while she was alone in Kentucky, looking out the window of the "motel" and the view and the feelings......
- - Wonderland ~~ about growing up in a tourist town in Maine and she wrote this song for her friends that live there, even in the winter.... 
- - Intro to Dad's Yard--Wrote dad's yard as a request to write a song for her dad, she focused on his motto in life...Never throw anything away....
- - Dad's Yard (solo)
- - Intro to The Big Reprise-  People in the community where she grew up asked her to write a song about the church burning down and she decided to write 2 songs , one she played for the church community and the one that she recorded.... 
- - The Big Reprise

**I'm sorry my post has little new content, but I just had to rejoice with 
someone who's had their first Catie experience! Mine was in the late 
'80's/early '90's - I went to college from '87-'91, and don't remember 
exactly when I saw her. ;-) Gettin' old.

**She came to Wheelock College around the time Dandelion was out. I STILL 
love that album, and  I've been hooked ever since!

**I remember coming to the college center in my wheelchair, and she was so 
attentive to make sure I didn't have trouble getting and that I got a good 
seat, etc. I must admit, we were a small college and it was a small crowd, 
but all the better for us! :-) She was just SO nice! And when I came up to 
her years later at a folk festival and totally RAMBLED about loving her 
music since college and Dandelion, she was just so sweet!

She also Looked and Sounded great.

**Oh my. She did back then, too!  I'll never forget the intimate sound of 
her voice. Even with a different style to her music than her "Dandelion" 
days, she still has that honesty, warmth and tenderness to her voice.

**Tee hee. I remember a lot of my girlfriends were just buzzing around the 
college center for DAYS before her show, because they just LOVED the picture 
of her in her black leather jacket. ;-)

Smiling with joy for you at your first Catie experience!
I know your next 10 years will be just as enjoyable seeing Catie as mine 
have been! :-)
