It's open to the general public. Grey Eye Glances and Ana Egge will round out the bill. They are both superb. I hope everyone in the greater Philly area will come out to hear Catie and the band and support this worthy cause. >>> "alice miles" 01/04/02 02:38PM >>> someone a week or so ago inquired if there was additional info for the gig scheduled for 4/13/02 at council rock high school in newtown pa, located north of philadelphia, in bucks county. i too would be interested in some additional info, i attended the 11th grade there some 25 years or so ago...it would be a hoot to go back and see catie there. i wonder if it is a general admission thing, or just a school function limited to students, etc. so, if anyone has more info... thanks in advance _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 04 Jan 2002 17:23:11 -0500 From: - Deb - Subject: [dads-yard] My Top 10 CDs of 2001 I always find this to be an enjoyable way to discover new music; for those who are interested, mine are written up in my Artist Spotlight at . - -- Deb \\ indigo@mindspring.com \\ http://www.mindspring.com/~indigo ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 04 Jan 2002 17:25:08 -0500 From: - Deb - Subject: [dads-yard] Catie news Some news from Catie: >Bonjour! The catch: She has a hand full of cd's on hand so I don't know where to start. I usually like to start at the beginning and work my way from there but something in my head tells me to do it different this time around. Could you guys help me out and pick your favorite Patty cd to get me started? Thanks in advance:-) Toodles~Julie ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 04 Jan 2002 21:47:44 EST From: WoodellDC@aol.com Subject: [dads-yard] Patty Larkin Julie asks: > I noticed Patty Larkin's name mentioned on this list and others in the > last few months so I thought I would give her a spin. > > The catch: She has a hand full of cd's on hand so I don't know where to > start. Thanks in advance:-) Oooh, she is someone I always mean to get really into, but the one I have -- and love -- is "Perishable Fruit." I couldn't help notice some of the conversation about Patty Larkin. I had to add my 2 cents. Patty is an amazing musician/song writer, and besides Perishable Fruit, her CD, Strangers World, is a must-have - must -listen to recording. I have always hoped that Catie and Patty would somehow appear together in concert or on a future recording. Both Patty and Catie have such incredibly unique song and melody strengths. The results of such colloboration would be fantastic I think. If those of this list that love Catie's music have not checked out Patty Larkin, there's no time like now! Happy New Year & Like that....
