I'm writing to you from the beautiful coast of northwestern Italy. A small cliff town called Vernazza, which is part of the Cinque Terre National Park. Needless to say, it is beautiful here. I have been travelling Europe for about 5 weeks now and have about 6 more to go. Crash Course in Roses and MSLGOY have been the veritable soundtrack to my trip, with a little Ani thrown in here and there (especially in Italy for some reason, Ani really goes well with Italy). However, on a day spent wandering through the small Czech town of Cesky Krumlov, Catie's voice made the cobblestone streets, gorgeous fall foliage, and medieval castle and all feel just like home. The next time any of your are visiting the Czech Republic, I highly recommend you bring Catie along with you. **I did warn you all this would be random, right?** I had a dream the other night that I was washing Catie's silverware while she was outside in the garden talking to a couple hippie friends of mine about their organic garden. I had a sink full of silverware, enough to set a table for about 300 people, dessert forks and all, and kept worrying she was going to leave because it was taking me so long to wash the silverware and I wouldn't get to talk to her! In some weird way, it was almost a nightmare! On a totally different note, a friend and I were talking about the title track on MSLGOY and both of us commented on the line, "I've turned myself in with you, and only you can turn me out." Now maybe it's just us, but we thought there was quite an overt sexual connotation to that line. Anyone else think so? If you've followed these insane ramblings of a girl happy to be travelling but still so upset to have had to miss Catie's stop in her home town (St. Paul, MN) this far...all I can say is thank you! Have a wonderful day! Ciao Megan ------------------------------ End of dads-yard-digest V3 #159 *******************************
