I told Catie about my ordeal to get to see Melissa and the Indigo Girls and that I'd been glad she (Catie) had turned uo. She signed my album "I must be a good omen - surely" linda ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Sep 2001 13:42:10 EDT From: NeuroticView@aol.com Subject: [dads-yard] Over The Rhine I LOVE Over The Rhine. I live in Cincinnati, so I have a better chance of interaction with the music of this band. I only found out about them, though, when their new cd came out. A friend of mine at work introduced them to me. Films for Radio is an excellent cd. Since then I was able to see them tour w/ the cd, Rose Polenzani was the opener. I thought it was a wonderful concert. I can not wait until they do their annual christmas show here. I hear it is great. Happy to know others enjoy OTR. matt ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Sep 2001 15:13:58 -0500 From: Liberty Park Subject: [dads-yard] Love Take the Best of You LOVE TAKES THE BEST OF YOU words and music by Catie Curtis and Jimmy Ryan 90 beats per minute intro: (am7add11) (am7add11) (C6add9) (C6add9) (am7add11) (am7add11) (C6add9) (C6add9) I (am7add11) DIDN'T KNOW YOUR MOTHER (am7add11) BUT THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD (C6add9) THAT SHE CRIED (am7add11) AND SHE CRIED WHEN SHE (am7add11) GAVE YOU UP AT THREE DAYS (C6add9) OLD (C6add9) SHE WAS (am7add11) FROM THE COUNTRYSIDE IN CAM- (am7add11) BODIA, A FARMER'S (C6add9) WIFE (C6add9) WITH TOO (am7add11) MANY MOUTHS TO FEED SHE WANT-(am7add11) ED YOU TO SEE A BETTER (C6add9) LIFE (C6add9) chorus 1: LOVE TAKES THE (am7add11) BEST OF YOU, (am7add11) LOVE TAKES THE (C6add9) BEST OF YOU (C6add9) LOVE TAKES THE (am7add11) BEST OF YOU, (am7add11) LOVE TAKES (C6add9) THE BEST OF YOU (C6add9) NOW (am7add11) YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE ME AND (am7add11) BABY WE DON'T LOOK LIKE YOU (C6add9) BUT OUR (am7add11) LOVE IS SO COMPLETE IT DON'T (am7add11) MATTER EYES ARE BROWN OR (C6add9) BLUE (C6add9) THERE ARE (am7add11) PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD WHO WON'T (am7add11) UNDERSTAND THIS FAMILY (C6add9) (C6add9) WE'LL PROTECT (am7add11) YOU WHERE WE CAN BUT SOMETIMES (am7add11) YOU'LL HAVE TO STAND AND HELP THEM (C6add9) SEE, (C6add9) CAUSE...
