Aloha y'all! My name's Brandon, and I'm a new Catie Fan! Im 20 yrs old, born/raised/residing on Oahu in Hawaii, and I only heard 7 of Catie's songs, well actually 6 since one of them is a live version of another. I have "Kiss That Counted," "Troubled Mind," "Soulfully," "Don't Lay Down(Demo)," "Troubled Mind(live)," "Burn Your Own House Down," and "Magnolia Street." I just bought a whole crapload of CDs 'oer the Net, so I'm in this broke state, and can't afford a Catie Curtis album until Friday! I really want to get Crash Course In Roses. I'm trying to get My Shirt Looks Good On You. It's supposed to come out on the 21st I believe, but some people out there already have it for sale! Hopefully I win the auction. The first time I heard/saw Catie was on Miss Folk America. Here in Hawaii we have a radio station KTUH, that features a wonderful radio show "Suffragette Station," that plays women folk music. I listen to it all the time. Anyway, Lori(the host of Suf'gette) dedicated an entire show to the Miss Folk America video. She and the Folk Phenomenon(she used to have a folk show on KTUH) had a little preshow where they told the viewers who should win and why. So they played Lori McKenna first since she was "last years Miss Folk America," then announced and played a song by Catie, Mary, Kris, Meghan, Jenn, and Faith. After that they played the entire video on the air which was hilarious!!!! I went to Faith's site and bought the video right away. It was great! I'm sure a lot of you saw it already. If not, you should!! It's at Faith's site @ faithsoloway.com It has Mary Gauthier, Kris Delmhorst, Jennifer Kimball, Catie Curtis, Faith Soloway, and Meghan Toohey in it. Oh and Lori McKenna.
