Had to interrupt my work time to look at the new site. It does look nice. Hopefully more concerts are upcoming. I saw Catie in chicago last month and she said she was coming back in the fall. She was wearing glasses, so it must be new look, along with a longer hairstyle. take care, joan - --- WoodellDC@aol.com wrote: > Very nice! She and Lucinda rock my world, as you know. It'll be interesting to hear what songs make her set list these days. With her new album coming out and all her old songs, she's got so much to choose from. Is she still doing Radical? I don't think I've ever seen her not play that song. What about Magnolia Street? If she were only to play five songs from her previous albums in her upcoming concerts, here's what I would hope she would play: Hole in Bucket - This song makes me remember Catie's humanity like none other. At work, I've recently had to talk to families who's homes have been flooded from new construction around them. It's sad that often there is no government relief program in place for these families who have lost so much, despite the fact that the county has permitted the new construction. Dad's Yard - This song has such a warm fuzzy feeling to it. It gets to me *every* time. Roses - Jimmy's mandolin is a beautiful thing, but most unforgettable in Roses. Magnolia Street - Who doesn't love this song????? Fisherman's Blues - Okay, it's not on any of her previous albums, but Catie does the woohoo-hoos so well. Oh, by the way, catiecurtis.com is awesome. I especially liked all the photos and commentary. Her dog is cute! - -Tawni ps. I'm oblivious sometimes. I just learned that Nanci Griffith will have a new album out too (July 31). So much good music. ------------------------------ End of dads-yard-digest V3 #92 ******************************
