I had been thinking for a WHILE I'd love to hear Catie's song where she talks about the person in the passenger's seat of her car, that she trusts enough to let steer while she takes off her jacket. What do people think? Here's what you're told to do if you want to submit a song for consideration (the automated letter you get if you email them about this ;-): Thanks for your letter to the Department of Automusicology. At the moment, our one tenured professor, Dean David Greene, is off on assignment in the Cayman Islands. If and when he should return, I will immediately bring your correspondence to his attention. It is the mission of the Department of Automusicology to seek out a new car tune for Car Talk each week. Effectively discharging these duties is about as easy as coming up with a halfway decent new puzzler every week. And, if you've listened to the show, you appreciate how difficult that can be. Therefore, we are grateful for your correspondence. If you have a particular car tune you would like to send us, please forward it to: Department of Automusicology, Car Talk Plaza, Box 3500, Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA 02238. Thanks for writing. Sincerely, Ella Fynoe Office of the Dean Department of Automusicology Let me know if anyone can make a tape and send it easier than I could (I would have to fix a piece of equipment, and reconnect lots of stuff since my tapedeck's been out of commission for about as long as I've only listened to CD's in the apartment).
