SOO funny. she would not stop talking about her new pug puppy, Sam. She had a great set list full of new songs, but towards the end she got distracted with requests (closing with Memphis, and an encore with Whats the Matter). She also polled the audience for a title to her new album: My Shirt looks Good on You, or The Blue Bicycle (or something like that)... basically everyone wanted My Shirt Looks Good on You, and thats what she had decided on anyways... Some of the new songs she played (If I remember correctly): My shirt Looks Good on you, The Church went down, the Cambodia/adoption one, the blue bicycle one, and a few more that I can't remember. She called up David Neilds to sing with her on Dandelion, and then Martin Sexton came up, and did one of his songs.... Ahhh... what else???? I can't remember, but it was a great show.... I can post more next week... I'm seeing Catie open for Dar this Saturday in Portsmouth, NH. ~katie - -----Original Message----- From: Gunkel@amtote.com To: dads-yard@smoe.org Date: Monday, April 09, 2001 9:27 AM Subject: [dads-yard] recent catie concerts >so, hasn't catie had some concerts recently in the northeast, can anyone >provide a review, did she roll out new material from her forthcoming album? > >a week or two ago on this list, some one mentioned another >singer/songwriter >to check out, and provided her website, i started to do that, but i got >interrupted (i was at work). by the time i got back to it, i had forgotten >her name, and had deleted the mail with the info, so if that someone >wouldn't mind repeating the info, i would appreciate it, thanks in >advance... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 9 Apr 2001 13:57:43 -0500 (CDT) From: Megan Peterson Subject: Re: [dads-yard] recent catie concerts That was an awesome show. The Bicycle title was "Bicycle Named Heaven." I think everyone just really liked the song My Shirt Looks Good on You better than Bicycle Named Heaven. The band wants (facetiously perhaps) to name the album "Pug Party on a Friday Night." Sam definitely was the primary topic of conversation. I hope Catie makes it out to Minnesota soon, I'd love to see her without having to travel!
