Has anyone heard this? Alix had someone else singing for this particular version, but the host mentioned that that was the one Catie does on the record. Very cool! Catie "moment" tonight: Roy Bittan on piano in the HBO Bruce Springsteen special. Yay! Very cool! **I just discovered Alix Olson recently! I think I read somewhere on her site that she was doing some event that Catie was going to be at or something, but didn't realize they work together! That IS cool! I sent along the link about her to a former student (a new feminist ;-), and she kind of liked her poetry. But she'll LOVE it when she hears about the Catie connection. (I also introduced her to Catie, brag brag! :-) **I love music and/or voices behind poetry. This woman I have tried to find, Michele Murphy, she has this version of Amazing Grace, in which she does this monologue while humming AG under it. At the end, she's singing AG under her monologue. Very powerful. Catie "moment" tonight: Roy Bittan on piano in the HBO Bruce Springsteen special. Yay! **We were listening to Vin S. and Pete Fornatell tonight, and they mentioned you could tape them and watch Bruce, or listen to them and tape Bruce. ;-) His new album, with the song in which he does the "preacher" thing sounds very fun. That preacher thing, it was funny. He started to sound like TD Jakes, if anyone's heard of him! ;-) ** I have lots of ideas about the thread on Catie and spirituality in her music. My definition of spirituality is pretty loose, so I probably hear it in more of her songs than not, but I think Caite is EXTREMELY spiritual in her music. :-) Amy - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ End of dads-yard-digest V3 #54 ******************************
