Yeah... about the tour dates for Catie's concerts... Does anyone have any 
information regarding the one at Columbia on March 31? I've been trying to

   i saw catie perform last night in West Ossipee, New Hampshire. she was 
wonderful, very witty on stage, her new songs are great.  It was great to see 
her perform again in a small intimate venue ..... Catie signed CD's and 
chatted with the audience afterwardsm she was very approachable. Kris 
Delmhorst opened for her and also sang backup and played the fiddle to 
accompany Catie and Jimmy Ryan.

Just got Kris' new "EP" CD (Oddlot; $8 at "http://www.krisdelmhorst.com") in the
mail yesterday.  It's a wonderful little collection of "odds and ends" ("all
recorded at various times in quite a range of live situations, from solo radio
performances to full-on riotous band happenings.")  It includes an especially
energetic version of Red Herring, a nice cover of Gillian Welch's Tear my
Stillhouse Down (different, I think, from the version on Live at Tir na nOg), and
a few new ditties as well.  I love the concept of this EP--it's sort of like an
"official boot", if that's not too much of a contradiction in terms.  I hope that
(1) Kris does more like-minded projects and (2) Catie considers similar
endeavors.
