I was wondering if anyone in the Boston area knew if Catie would be playing this festival at the Somerville Theatre on Feb 10th? Also, is this event presented by Multistage Productions? Thanks, Brenda ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Jan 2001 11:55:02 EST From: WoodellDC@aol.com Subject: [dads-yard] C'mon you know you're guilty! Hi, everyone, I apologize for the cross-posting to five lists, but since I want to say the same thing to everyone, it makes more sense this way. Anyway, one of my NY resolutions that I think I can actually keep is to listen to cds I have that I have not listened to in a while. World Cafe yesterday had Geoff Muldaur on and he did a great set. Well, a year or two ago, there was a spare copy of his previous cd, "The Secret Handshake," lying around the office and I took it, and if I listened at all, it was with a million things going on around the house. So just now, I listened again. What a great cd. Great blend of styles, messages, moods! So, c'mon, you all know you are guilty, too. So how about adding this to your NY resolutions...dust off those cds you forgot about, or maybe were in the wrong mood to listen to. You never know what undiscovered treasures you might, um, discover. We recorded a wonderful set in the KANU studios; Catie and Jimmy do some songs, old and new, and Catie and I visit a bit as well. We'll be airing this special in studio performance by Catie starting at 3:04 p.m. central time this Sunday afternoon as part of KANU's Trail Mix. It's a little over a half hour long. KANU is a 100,000 watt NPR station in Lawrence, Kansas broadcasting at FM 91-5. You can also listen in on via Real Audio or RealAudio2 on our website at http://kanu.ukans.edu By the way, Trail Mix features contemporary folk and beyond from 2:30 to 5 pm central time each Sunday (with celtic from 1 to 2:30 and traditional folk, old time and bluegrass from 5 to 7). Check it out if you can. (Catie has always been a major presence on Trail Mix since it began in the mid 90's).
