But she also liked the idea of releasing an early recordings mix, from "Dandelion" and "From Years to Hours," and perhaps releasing it at shows only, so who knows...! - -- Deb \\ indigo@mindspring.com \\ http://www.mindspring.com/~indigo ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 02 Jan 2001 11:10:47 -0500 From: Deb Subject: [dads-yard] Re: Catie show on January 6th At 09:17 PM 1/1/01, Mulier6011@aol.com wrote: >There is supposedly a show in Sudbury, MA on the 6th, and on the website it >lists the venue as Fox Run. Melissa Ferrick has joined ranks with a new venture called DotClick , and it's pretty cool if you listen to music on your PC a lot. When you play a CD or an MP3 it brings up a little window that lets you rate the song, see other DotClick users who like the same song, see what else they've been listening to, link to a page about the artist, etc. [Note: if they don't have the CD in their database yet, they seem to retrieve the info, so it recognizes it by the 2nd song; it's recognized most everything I play, including Kasey Chambers. :-) ] They have an extensive privacy policy if you worry about such things, but it's fun to find other people listening to similar music, and to know that by rating songs you are doing the same thing for others. If any of you join, let's exchange usernames if you don't mind me watching what you're listening to -- I know y'all have good taste in music.. :-) - -- Deb \\ indigo@mindspring.com \\ http://www.mindspring.com/~indigo ------------------------------ End of dads-yard-digest V3 #2 *****************************
