Well, that's a recommendation I could hardly ignore... turns out that Kasey has a site at , but an easier place to order the CD is at CDNow (note: I profit a pittance from that link for the referral -- if you object, use this instead ). CDNow has clips of each song on the CD too. I'm impressed with what I've heard, looking forward to getting it in the mail! - -- Deb \\ indigo@mindspring.com \\ http://www.mindspring.com/~indigo ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Nov 2000 16:32:27 -0500 From: "Rob Litowitz" Subject: Re: [dads-yard] OT: Kasey Chambers Also bought the Kasey CHambers CD.. Yep, Kasey's got a country rock sound for sure which comes complete with grainy voice and twangy guitar and all. The music is sometimes pop too, sometimes rootsy. Her voice though, has got that heart-tugging sadness that seems like she's singing with her eyes closed and her heart honest and open. Her sound probably won't appeal to you though if you are not a fan of alternative country. Let's hear about more new music! I am looking for this woman whose tape I have WORN out, just listening to one track. Her name is Michelle Murphy, and the tape is called "Tell It Like It Is". She does this incredible version of "Amazing Grace" with this self-written monologue in the middle of it. It is simply AWESOME! She has an incredibly powerful voice. I have looked ALL OVER the internet for her name, and I am hoping SOMEONE out there has heard of her.....Anyone? Thanks in advance!
