Subject: [dads-yard] (NCC) Patty Larkin/Pamela Means

I bumped into Catie-lister Dana last night at Patty Larkin's
sold out show at Berkeley's venerable Freight and Salvage.

We thought some Catie-listers might be interested in hearing
Patty Larkin... she's currently touring and will be playing
Santa Cruz tonight (Palookville), then headed up the coast.

 From previous Patty Larkin shows I knew I'd be blown away again,
but last night was better than I expected... she's traveling
with a tight band consisting of Ben Wittman on drums and
Marc Shulman on electric guitar.

Opening act is Pamela Means, who I've been raving about
for several years... tonight will be her 10th California
show in two weeks.  Tomorrow Pamela plays an intimate
house concert in Berkeley, her last gig during this year's
California tour, after which she returns to the Boston area.

Subject: [dads-yard] dar williams in madison wi

i just got back from dar williams' show in madison wisconsin and it was
completely amazing...

only one thing could have possibly made it better: if catie had opened for
her, like she's doing for so many other stops on the tour.

so - go and see dar, with or without catie, it's totally worth the price of
admission and then some.
