I first saw her when she opened for Joan Armatrading a few months back in Houston. And I was looking forward to seeing Terri Hendrix on Oct 28th - which happens to be the same day that Dar/Catie are performing but there concerts are hours apart so I get to see both!!! I can't get 'Invisible Girl' from 'Places in Between' out of my CD player. If anyone is interested, you can check her out at terrihendrix.com In a message dated 9/9/00 3:59:21 AM Central Daylight Time, owner-dads-yard-digest@smoe.org writes: << Date: Fri, 08 Sep 2000 11:19:52 -0400 From: "Rob Litowitz" Subject: Re: [dads-yard] Catie&Dar/"mood" songs Good thread. We as of late have been listening to the wonderful Terri Hendrix's wonderful album "Places in Between." Many of the songs speak about rebounding and resiliency following dissappointment. One particular song has become a family favorite, which even our 8 year old loves to sing around the house. In the cryptic and mystical "Wishing" the narrator speaks about spending "Three days inthe wishing well.' The chorus, featuring an almost baroque harpsichord laced melody goes "Oh why bother at all? Pick yourself up, just to see the fall. Underground, underground, underground, underground. Underwater I can tell, the secrets at the bottom of the well." Even when we hit rock bottom, there are still magical secrets to explore. I never write anything to this list, but I am wondering if anyone is going to the DC show at the 9:30 Club. I havent seen Catie in awhile and I would love to catch that show. I just moved back to the area tho and have yet to meet people with good taste in music..if anyone is going, drop me a line. Thanks!
