This is an opportunity I've been looking forward to for a long time. Those MK fans living on the East coast sure have been graced with her performances on a more frequent basis. I hope she sees to coming around the Midwest more often. Perhaps a performance at Milwaukee's Irish Fest is in order and long overdue IMHO! BTW, Anyone else been listening to "Through the Bitter Frost & Snow" through these winter months? It really seems to capture the mood of winter and the holidays quite well...funny it was recorded "over some sweltering June & July days"! Johnny Cunningham and Susan McKeown Friday, April 28 7:30 p.m. $18 ($16 members) Old Town School of Folk Music 4544 N. Lincoln Avenue Chicago, IL (773) 728-6000 or http://www.ticketweb.com/ to order School URL: http://www.oldtownschool.org/ Tickets are on sale now (at least to members). Alas, the school seems to have "redesigned" their website yet again. There used to be a page about the venue & perhaps a seating layout. It isn't there now, although (non-intuitively) the "Adult Classes" page has info about driving directions. The space is quite intimate. There are some cabaret tables in front of the stage - tho not sure if they're members only. Also, I'm told the balcony is quite nice, but have never sat up there.
