I (think I) agree with you. I don't think Jewel was being vindictive or anything. Just poking a bit harmless fun. People do it all the time. The classic example I can think of is Stevie Wonder. Everyone always does some sort of send up of him. It's just part of the norm, and it's usually always done in a sincere way for a bit of fun. [...] > >Speaking of which, what other artists have people been listening to that > >everyone should check out? That everyone should check out? Maybe... I've been listening to a bit of Josh Joplin, who is excellent. His voice sounds a little bit like Michael Stipe's. Also Five For Fighting and Train. You should also all listen to my music :) Once I've done a bit more. I'm playing my first solo gig in a couple of weeks (might even cover a berries song, not sure yet). If there is anyone interested in that (on that far off chance), I will be recording the show and putting it on my website (video and audio). Cheers, Johannes. I can capture it and several other vids and put them up temporarily. I'm not really supposed to host huge things because I have access to a web server at uni, where I have unlimited space, but the problem is the bandwidth. It's a machine in my dad's office, and it's sort of a special deal I've got worked out with them cos I do voluntary work for them from time to time, but if it turns out I'm the main bandwidth user (bandwidth = lots of money), then they'll just boot me off. Cut a long story short: I can capture it, and put it up for a couple of days. But I probably can't do it straight away, cos I'm working at the moment, and also have some other things on. I'll try my best to do it within the week, but no promises. What sort of quality are you after. Would you rather have a large file size and have it in something like mpeg1 or mpeg2, or something smaller like real or quicktime? Let me know. Johannes.
