Any word on to which countries the Crans will head on their promotional tour yet? Hope Holland is included! If it's not too rude to ask, could you please let me know? :-) Thanx! PS: the poll on the official homepage was brilliant, thanks for letting us fans participate! :-) CU! We will advise dates as soon as confirmed. ******** Good news for all of you in North America (and Canada) eh?? :-) In the meantime, could someone please send the new picture featured on the homepage to me? Even after refreshing the page, it still only gives the news of July 17th, don't know why! _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Jul 2001 23:18:19 +1000 From: Joe Schmidt Subject: %Cran: silence and top 10 Hey all, I'm with Greg... I haven't even looked into the existence of other lists/boards... I've been a member here since '95 or '96, and I can't really be bothered going elsewhere. There's a few people who've been here from the start (even before my time) who'll probably always be here and never go anywhere else. Just a point I found interesting as I just looked at the final top 10 favourite songs that were voted... Not one of them is off TTFD 1.Dreams 2.Linger 3.Zombie 4.Animal Instinct 5.Ode To My Family 6.Promises 7.Daffodil Lament 8.Just My Imagination 9.Empty 10.Ridiculous Thoughts I found this fact interesting. Animal Instinct is another one that surprised me a little. I quite like this song, though I wouldn't say it's a favourite. And I do know quite a few people who didn't like it that much. IMHO Daffodil Lament should be up there at number one, but it made the list so I'm happy. Would've been nice to see something like when you're gone instead of JMI (don't get me wrong, I love that song too)... At least we had a few non-single tracks in there, though I had almost expected that if only fans had voted that perhaps it wouldn't have been single dominated. However, I'm guessing there are a lot of people out there who just saw it at voted, who perhaps only know the commercial singles. I could be totally wrong, and the band/label just chose the singles really well :) I must admit I love all the songs that have become singles myself... :) So yeah, I haven't posted in a long while so I thought I'd write my comments... Since Greg did this, I will too... The other artists I've been listening to... Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Counting Crows, Train, Jewel, Steve Poltz, Cat Stevens, Sting/Police, (a little) Matchbox 20... and of course still a lot of berries. Especially some older bootlegs recently... Cheers, Johannes. ------------------------------ End of cranlist-digest V4 #39 *****************************
