Subject: Re: %Cran: voting for 10 fave songs I am totally with you Paul! The current listing on the official homepage has been thus far: 1.Dreams 2.Zombie 3.Linger 4.Ode To My Family 5.Animal Instinct 6.Empty 7.Daffodil Lament 8.Promises 9.Just My Imagination 10.Ridiculous Thoughts Those are definately very beautiful songs, but we've heard them so many times already! (Half of them in the MTV Unplugged Show and the others during the L&C tour). I agree with you that it would be nice to hear some songs that they never or hardly play. And it would be nice to see them play those rare songs, as the way Dolores sings their songs during a live show always represents best what meaning a song has to her... and I am dying to find out how they feel about Such A Shame for instance! :-). I based my decision on if a song was rare and if the main attention was focused on the vocals, so here it is: 1) Empty 2) Sunday 3) You and Me 4) What's On My Mind 5) Dying In The Sun 6) Such A Shame 7) Woman Without Pride 8) Sweetest Thing 9) When You're Gone 10) False But on the other hand, musical taste is something very personal and you can't expect everyone to go for the songs that aren't played that often. The current list is a representation of all of us fans, whom were asked to vote for their all time favorite songs, which could well be anything but those rare songs! Anyhow, personally I'd love to hear more rare songs and b-sides, but if that won't happen, I'd still have a good time! :-) CU! -Jessica From: YeatsGrave@aol.com To: Cranberries@onelist.com, odetothecranberries@yahoogroups.com, cranlist@smoe.org, TheCranberries@onelist.com Subject: %Cran: voting for 10 fave songs Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:28:45 EDT MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: from [66.89.201.78] by hotmail.com (3.2) with ESMTP id MHotMailBD0C93B6003C400437634259C94EBDAB0; Wed, 04 Jul 2001 09:47:55 - -0700 Received: from localhost (daemon@localhost)by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/listq-jane) with SMTP id MAA19872;Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:28:30 - -0400 (EDT) Received: by smoe.org (bulk_mailer v1.10); Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:28:19 -0400 Received: (from majordom@localhost)by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/listq-jane) id MAA19832for cranlist-outgoing; Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:27:32 -0400 (EDT) Received: from imo-r10.mx.aol.com (imo-r10.mx.aol.com [152.163.225.106]) by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/daemon-mode-jane) with ESMTP id MAA19818 for ; Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:27:27 -0400 (EDT) Received: from YeatsGrave@aol.com by imo-r10.mx.aol.com (mail_out_v30.22.) id h.3c.df01d06 (2520); Wed, 4 Jul 2001 12:28:45 -0400 (EDT) From owner-cranlist@smoe.org Wed, 04 Jul 2001 09:47:58 -0700 Message-ID: <3c.df01d06.28749e3d@aol.com> X-Mailer: AOL Taz for Windows US sub 19 X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: from multipart/alternative by demime 0.97c X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: Alternative section used was text/plain Sender: owner-cranlist@smoe.org Precedence: bulk Hey guys! I figured since everyone was voting for their 10 favorite songs for the crans to play acoustically, we should all try something together. Everyone knows that at every cran show the same songs are always played. I think we should all suggest some songs that the crans never or rarely play. If we all decide on maybe 2 or 3 songs, the outcome should prove to be interesting. Here are my 3 suggestions, which I already sent to the band (along with 7 other songs). 1. Sorry Son 2. What's On My Mind 3. Paparazzi On Mopeds Now i'm not sure if POM can be played acoustically, but it's my favorite song, so I had to suggest it. What do you all think? I know this is classical, but Zombie must be played in every Cran show!!!!
