It's a Gregorian chant. She's saying "eeee--aaa-ooo" (those aren't words). By the way: I was vacationing in Padre Island, and we visited Mexico. And guess what I found--THE COMPLETE SESSIONS muahahahahahahaha! I never find anything and I found it. It's a stolen idea (specifically from www.catstevens.com). They have some excellent interpretations of a lot of the songs, some sound nothing like the originals, some are exactly the same. I'd love to administer something like this for the berries, and it would give me a nice project to work on (in what little time I have this year). If you want an idea of what I mean, go to the cat stevens site (above) and go to the "cover songs" section in the "music" menu. I think it's really great! And maybe we (or I) could set up various things that are more fan based, but cran related... sort of like a "tribute" site in the true sense of the word. Let me know what you all think! Cheers, Schmidty. - -- Johannes Schmidt "I will never be free All my life, trapped in her memory" -"Dreaming While You Sleep" (Genesis) schmidty@schmidty.simplenet.com http://schmidty.simplenet.com/ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Jun 2000 12:49:00 EDT From: LittleHoss@aol.com Subject: Re: %Cran: covers I was part of the Billy Bragg mailing list a short while back. The members of the list covered various Bragg songs and then someone took the time to master the tracks and burn them onto CD. Billy himself got a copy of the CD and was quite impressed. I have to say that they did a great job. I quite like the idea of having a site with the files in Mp3 format. Making the covers easily accessible to all. - -Little ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Jun 2000 12:23:25 PDT From: "Dolly Housholder" Subject: Re: %Cran: covers >Just wondering if anyone would be interested in a site where fans (ie >us) can post our own cover versions of Cran songs? > I think this is a cool idea, especially because my band and I recently did Cran covers in concerts we had in Irish Pubs in France! We covered such songs as "Animal Instinct" Just My Imagination" "Dreaming My Dreams" and "Ode to My Family." We would always get a good response after these songs, especially for "Ode." I would be able to contribute these songs to the site as I have a CD recording of our last concert. Let's try to get a site like this going and then "present" it to Fergal via e-mail! Maybe he would put a link to it from the homepage... Dolly. ======================================================= _______________________________________________________ from Dorothy J.
