Eventually I got him to agree that he should buy me replacement earphones, but they don't make the kind I had any more, so for ages I didn't have any earphones. Today, he got me some cheap earphones (they were free with something else actually) so that I would at least have some earphones while he's looking for some more of the kind I like. Anyway, in the time I had no earphones, I downloaded the Such A Shame mp3 (and I sent some comments about it to this list.) But in that time, I've only be able to hear it on my computer speakers, which have no bass at all. Now I have earphones, I just listened to it through them - and even though they're cheap ones, the difference is quite amazing! There are whole other layers of singing and music which I wasn't even hearing before. The song sounds better than I thought! I'll have to listen to it heaps of times to absorb all the extra complexity. Unfortunately my CD ROM is broken so I can't listen to my Cran CDs though (unless I use the stereo when nobody else is using it, which is hardly ever), which is such a shame ;) because music sounds better through earphones since that's almost the only way to hear things in stereo properly. Anyway, enough of my rambling...
