You'd think someone attacked you personally. I only asked what others thought of Dolores' recent lyrics (compared to past albums) and would they chage anything if they could? - -Little ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Jan 2000 14:48:31 -0500 From: Dal Subject: Re: %Cran: about all these messages I meant to send it to everyone sorry: >okay, > >I agree with suzi and nic and everyone else who agreed > >I don't understand what that guy said about commercialism cause the Cranberries aren't really considered "commercial" or "mainstraim" over where i live; they're more like the type of band you go seeking for or discover on your own, probably cause they're not so popular anymore > >in response to Leanna (r u nu?) >I totally agreeed with you >they are pretty unique band- original too ;) > >the reason i asked about whether the music is considered depressing, >is because I actually have been diagnosed with depression for a couple of years now >It's not severe in a sense that I isolate myself or stay at home alot because it's moderate depression >which means I live with it; and feel sadder than usual on some days but inside, i know I'm truly not happy >enough about happiness, I'm okay; i deal with it and don't worry; I have a busy social life. >anyways I wanted to know if it was considered depressing cause i might not notice it > >last thing: does anyone here know of Moist? >popular songs include: push, leave it alone, resurrection, tangerine, gasoline, breathe, ... >david usher also has a solo album with some pretty kewl songs (more mellow and soft than moist music) >they're probably my favorite band (a tie with teh cranberries) >i just wanted to know if there were any Moist fans on the list >and whether you noticed any similailities between teh two bands music >the older songs are kinda deep and have that dark/mysterious tone to it >it's also soft and calm, yet powerful at teh same time >except their lyrics are pretty vague and really baffling sometimes >what do u think? >lemme know > >okay I think that's all >if more people would respind to teh discussion questions/ other band similarities, >i'd really appreciate it- better than responding to flames or pessemistic comments >okay one last thing- are there any new fans from BTH album or not really? >talk2yallater, > Dal > >p.s.- wish me luck on my exams ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Jan 2000 17:24:21 -0800 (PST) From: Art Vandaley Subject: %Cran: Full length MPEG videos of the berries... Hello, my name is Curtis Patterson, I made the web page "The Cranberries Empty" a very long time ago... I havn't updated it at all mostly because I'm too busy with studies and stuff. I also havn't been messaging people on this list for a very long time either. I think Burry the Hatchet is a pretty damn good CD, my fav songs from that CD are... Animal Instinct You and Me Just My Imagination Shattered.mp3 Saving Grace Anyways, that's not why I'm emailing... Does anyone here know where I can get some full length, MPEG-1 Cranberries music videos? (or Sorenson compressed MOV files, or ASF files)? If you don't know what I'm talking about... I'm talking about files that are about 10 MB/minute on average (40 MB for a 4 minute song) and are very good quality (aproximately like cable TV quality)... the MPEG-1 video files (with integrated MPEG-2 audio) usually have a data rate of about 150-200 K/s. A typical file name would be "Promises.mpg". I'm familiar with the internet underground (Hotline, IRC, newsgroup file servers etc), but I've had absolutely no luck finding the videos! I've run into an amazing number of videos for Briteny Spears and Offspring, and Wierd Al etc, but no Cranberries! I think its mostly punk teenagers that compress these MPEG's and they don't have very good taste in music =) If I get lots of the video's, I plan to make a music video CD, TV quality, a full 60-80 minutes of Cranberries video. I would make all the video's available for download using an internet underground server called a "Hotline" server, on a DSL or T3 connection (I have both). If anyone knows, let me know! thanks! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo!
