Actually, when they came to VA, I only paid $10 for the book without the CD. Later, once they added the CD, i had my friend John (CranTrader) out in CA pick me up the one with the CD for $20.. I just bought the CD off of him for $10 and he sold the book on eBay. -Alex - ----Original Message Follows---- From: Paul Bowen To: cranlist@smoe.org Subject: Re: %Cran: Loud and Clear World Tour CDs FS! This is only a few bucks more than what they sold for on >tour, so that's a pretty good price. Actually, isn't that cheaper than they originally sold for at the concerts? I think the tourbook was $15 without the CD and then $20 or $22 once they added the CD to it? Their t-shirts are also cheap. I think I paid $27 at the concert, and they're only charging $17.25. Those are great prices (relatively, anyway). Its a virus that infects your computer simply by opening the message. At first I was sceptical but some very realiable souces ( www.itain.org , www.symatec.com and some people at several tech support companies) told me this is reall (check the URLs if you don,t beleive me). They only way to get rid of this virus is to block any e-mails with the subject line: BubbleBoy is back . Bellow are 2 articles about the virus. The first one is from http://itrain.org/itinfo/1999/it991109.html and the other one is from http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/vbs.bubbleboy.html - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ------------------ A new malicious email worm proves that you no longer have to open an attachment to infect your system with a worm (related to a computer virus). BubbleBoy reflects a new danger: you don't have to open attachments, but only open the email to read it. This virus is the first of its type: attacking when the email message is only read, without requiring an attachment to be opened. BubbleBoy, similar in action to the Melissa virus, will forward itself to every contact in every Outlook or Outlook Express email address book on the infected user's computer. And users may not realize they've been infected until they notice that the registration information of their PC's operating system is changed to "BubbleBoy" and "Vandelay Industries," respectively. Infected messages will come in with the "from" entry reporting the actual person who was infected and inadvertently let the virus be sent on to members of his address books. The subject line of infected messages is: "BubbleBoy is back!" Infected messages carry a body that's a black screen with the text, "The BubbleBoy incident, pictures and sounds," along with an invalid URL ending in "bblboy.htm." Users are at risk of passing BubbleBoy worm if they use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 with Windows Scripting Host installed. This is a standard installation on Windows 98 and Windows 2000 PCs. BubbleBoy currently infects Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express. In Outlook, this worm requires that you "open" the email, and will not run if the email is viewed through the "Preview Pane." In Outlook Express, the worm activates even if the email is only viewed through the "Preview Pane." Under all installations, if the security settings for the Internet Zone in IE5 were set to High, the worm would not be able to execute. All users are urged to immediately delete any incoming message with the subject line "BubbleBoy is back." The best idea is to set your filters to automatically trash any message that carries this subject line. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ------------------ A new malicious email worm proves that you no longer have to open an attachment to infect your system with a worm (related to a computer virus). Actually, it will cause problems when the recipient simply highlights/selects the message in the inbox window. The message doesn't have to be opened at all. That's why this is a major step in "virus technology". It's just a worm that takes advantage of the scripting component in Windows 9x if it's installed. It only affects Windows 9x users that have the Windows scripting component installed that are running Outlook, and doesn't affect anyone running Windows NT. That's why I'm glad I use NT and Eudora. :) But the bottom line is to be careful, and like usual, if you see a message that looks odd, don't even attempt to access it.
