We are in Minneapolis, and badly hung over I'm afraid!! We played in Chicago last night and it was a great gig so everyone was in flying form. As today is Dolores' birthday we threw a surprise party after the show which continued onto the bus. We have about twenty or so people working with us on the tour and they are all really nice so it's always good to have a night like that to help everyone relax after working so hard for the past few weeks. I'm afraid I have to go back to bed now for a snooze so I'll talk to you again in a few days. Take care, Fergal. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 07 Sep 1999 17:15:31 -0400 From: Paul Bowen Subject: %Cran: my FTP server is back online My FTP sever is running once again. I have 400 megs of stuff online, including 80+ MP3's. It's located at cranberries.dhs.org. The username is Cran and the password is berries. If you're using Netscape or IE (which I don't recommend), use this link - ftp://Cran:berries@cranberries.dhs.org A few details. My server only has b-sides and rare tracks. I won't give out normal album tracks, so don't bother requesting any (just go buy the CD). Since this server is running directly off of my computer, please be considerate and download in moderation. If I think you're leaching excessively, I will permanently ban you without warning. I'm just doing this as a service to all the other cranfans out there, so I'm not going to let it take all of my system's resources. There is a user limit, so if you can't get through, just try again later. Don't hammer my server (hammering is trying to connect more than 3 times within 60 seconds, the way I set it up). My software will lock you out for 10 minutes if you do. My server should theoretically be up almost 24 hours a day. In reality, my computer has been very unstable recently, so it's probable that the server will be down quite often. I'll reset it as soon as I see that it crashes, but if it happens while I'm asleep or in class, it could take a while for me to fix it. That's about it. Have fun downloading. Is it still up and running? 'Cos I sent an application and a money order back in the middle of July and. . . . . . . nothing. Did I just waste $22 or should i have more patients? I sent sent it to the Fan Emporium, this is the one. Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do to help you. The software I run, Serv-U 2.5c, has been crashing all the time. For instance, tonight was my bowling night. When I came home after about 5.5 hours, I checked the log to see that the server had gone down literally one minute after I had left my room. I reset it right away, but of course it had already been down for 5+ hours. I apologize for that, but I really don't know how to fix it. For anyone that's feeling lucky, here's the info again. server: cranberries.dhs.org username: Cran password: berries Anyone using Netscape or IE (or AOL) can use this link - ftp://Cran:berries@cranberries.dhs.org Paul Bowen | Ode to Dolores - paulbo@delphi.com | http://people.delphi.com/paulbo/index.htm pbowen@bu.edu | ICQ UIN - 1122210 ElectricBlue@rocketmail.com ------------------------------ End of cranlist-digest V2 #228 ******************************
