Available for D/L Just wanted to let everyone know that I encoded the acoustic version of Animal Instinct that was done on May 8 at the short Muchmusic performance. I've encoded it at 32 Khz, 96 Kbit to save space (It's about 2.4 megs), but it still sounds pretty good. They also performed Linger, I should have that available shortly. You can find it at: http://members.xoom.com/jettaboy/cranfiles/Animal_Instinct.zip BTW, for a complete selection of B-Sides/Rarities, go to http://www.mnsi.net/~sunday/per/bsides.html - -Brett - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. Please don't flame me or the guy who wrote it because of what he thinks about Dolores (who cares) but did anyone see this "tear shedding thing"? Was there a context? Suzy - ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Sat, 8 May 1999 00:25:59 +0200 From: To: jitr Subject: promises-nothing compares 2U Hi pple, I just finished watching The Cranberries performing live in an italian tv show. at the end of the song Promises I saw Dolores sheding a tear (just one) like Sinead did in NC2U. Since I am not a big fan of Dolores I thought she wanted to copy Sinead (once more) But maybe it's just that these songs are both passionate and full of angry words and despairate feelings. Ok that's all Ciao Alex Please don't flame me because I I think Dolores is a "copycat" - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. I personally love Sinead. I see nothing wrong with Dolores looking up to Sinead. If Dolores gets inspiration from Sinead, more power to her. Concerning the single tear....I don't think Dolores was copying Sinead. Certainly Sinead wasn't the first artist to shed a tear in a video or performance. I think its much more likely that the song is very personal and emotionally charged for Dolores. Who knows, maybe she had a fight with her husband before going onstage or something and she was crying about something totally unrelated? - -Little - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. Hello!!! Before I bust out my nifty view on this most auspicious new album where the very vocal and loquacious Dolores makes a very strong impression, I need to know who the hell is going to the Las Vegas show. I want to know when y'all are getting there, who is going to wait in line first, what we're going to do afterward, which buffet we'll hit, etc.... SOOOOO....those lucky hoo-ha's who are going to attend, please e-mail me. One of you have, but I lost your e-mail. D'OH. Anyhoo.....let me know because I want to really make sure we all can enjoy this mutha in the front row. :) Thanks for your patronage, Chris - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. If so, please let me know because I'd love to have a copy. :) one last thing- did anyone wait after the concert at the side doors? did u end up meeting any of the band members? i was thinking of sucking up to the security guards but I'm sure that technique has been tried on them many times. damn rain!!! I had to leave b4 they left so that sux. shit- we should've had a little RTML meet after the concert. i was so curious whether any people around me were from the RTML?!! does anyone else any other comments about the Toronto concert? talk2yallater, Dal - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. If they are one of the venues that mainly uses college kids who don't give a damn, then you're probably okay. At Toronto, they weren't very vigilant at the door, but they were going after flashes. Fans could then sign up for prints at a pre-set price. 4 weeks later the photos would be delivered to your door and you'd have something more than a ticket stub to remember the show. Not only that, it would be a professionally shot 8X10 or whatever. I purchased my tickets to the Cranberries on April 2nd but I still have not received the tickets. I called Bass and I was told that Bass is not handling the event and I'd have to purchase my tickets elsewhere. They directed me to www.cranberries.com In disbelief I went to the bass tickets website and sure enough, there were the Cranberries, listed as being at the Warfield in San Fran on May 17th (tickets still available). When I called Bass they told me my tickets were lost in the mail and irreplacable as they wern't sent certifide mail. None of these answers were going over terribly well for me so I called Bass cusomer service. It was there that I found out that the tickets were sent CERTIFIDE mail on April 5th and were likely sitting at the postoffice. If not, they will be reissued and available for pick up at will call the night of the show. Whew!!! That was a close one. - -Little - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message.
