(fwd) [dana wagner That is so right, CopyCat is one of my favorites from the new album, I > don't understand why so many people dislike it. They used technology > just like Cher did in her song Believe and that was very well accepted, > the Cranberries do it and everyone downs. I mean come on, give it a > chance you just might like it. Well, I think technology is one of the main reasons people don't like it. Cher's song is OK, but I also don't like that she's moved little bit to 'techno' waters. I like Copycat more, and more, but to me it isn't some great song like others. After EEIDISWCW, NNTA, TTFD The Cranberries have image of rock band, pure acoustic and raw electric guitars..... On TTFD they had 'Intermission' that I look like the experimental song, I hope the Copycat is just one more 'experimental' song, and that the main image of the band stays unchanged. e-mail: elvis.janes@falconbbs.fido.hr aka CroatiaNet/AdriaNet/FidoNet: 2:381/152 -=+>Elvis Janes<+=- El Zombie (tm) - --- Blue Wave/386 v2.30 - -- : Fidonet: Elvis Janes 2:381/152 : Internet: Elvis.Janes@falconbbs.fido.hr : : Standard disclaimer: The views of this user are strictly his own. - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. It's great album, very quality production & mixing, and the greatest of all - great songs. Indeed, it is more similar to first two albums, but it's a complete new sound. More acoustic, even one great piano song (Dying In The Sun). It's not so Cher Believe, Dol's voice was only synthesized and enhanced at one part. whereas Cher's was throughtout mostly! misc:anyway I like cher's shoop shoop song and believe. As this tour is played to present the new album, it is only natural that there are much more tracks from BTH than from any other album and those songs will of course mean more to all four right now than the old stuff, but I suppose this will change a bit for the summer tour. BTW, as it seems they are going to play about six concerts only here in Germany, so you imagine how much and where they are going to play in other/bigger countries. :-) Take care, - Frederik +++ ICQ *3887587* +++ *Homepage at* http://www.puti.de/home +++ +++ *Cranberries Cover Gallery* +++ http://www.puti.de/crancovers +++ - --------------------------------------------------------------- This is the Ridiculous Thoughts Mailing List Send posts to : cranlist@smoe.org Send unsubscribe requests to: cranlist-request@smoe.org Put "unsubscribe" in the BODY of the message. "The 'Berries crap out" Though we've never pegged Irish alt-popsters the Cranberries as more than a soft-boiled Sinead O'Connor, their new ultra-bland new album makes it clear we were giving them too much credit. Blame lead 'Berry Dolores O'Riordan: While the three guys chum out reasonably tuneful melodies, she squeaks with all the ferocity of a drugged field mouse on "Animal Instinct" and turns rare attempts to rock into yawners with cliched lyrics ("Stop treading on my dreams," she pleads on "Delilah"- did Jewel cowrite this thing?) The title seems to refer to the recent Irish peace accords, but after a listen, you'll want to Bury the Hatchet in the Cranberries' skulls.
